Glove Case Description

The Glove Case is a groundbreaking CS:GO (now CS2) weapon case that was released on November 28, 2016, as part of the "Brothers In Arms" update. This case contains 17 unique Community-designed weapon skins featuring a mix of vibrant, industrial, and tactical aesthetics. However, its true legendary status comes from being the very first case in Counter-Strike history to feature Gloves instead of Knives as its rare special item.

As a special rare item, the Glove Case drops 24 entirely new cosmetic items spread across 6 different glove types: Sport Gloves, Specialist Gloves, Moto Gloves, Hand Wraps, Driver Gloves, and Bloodhound Gloves. This case introduced some of the most famous and astronomically expensive gloves in the game, including the highly coveted Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box and Sport Gloves | Superconductor.

Glove Case History

The Glove Case was added to the game on November 28, 2016, fundamentally changing the cosmetic economy of Counter-Strike forever. Before this update, players could only customize their weapons and knives. By introducing a brand-new equippable item slot, the Glove Case created an entirely new market for collectors looking to create the perfect "glove and knife combo."

Alongside the revolutionary gloves, the case debuted several iconic weapon skins. The M4A4 | Buzz Kill brought a sleek, industrial yellow design to the main CT rifle, while the SSG 08 | Dragonfire introduced a highly detailed, fiery mythological artwork that remains a fan-favorite for the scout to this day. It also introduced the clean, futuristic FAMAS | Mecha Industries.

Origin

The Glove Case originated from the November 28, 2016 "Brothers In Arms" update. It serves as the exclusive container for The Glove Collection skins.

The case features 17 community-created skins separated into four rarities: 7 Mil-Spec, 5 Restricted, 3 Classified, and 2 Covert. The Covert tier is occupied by the M4A4 | Buzz Kill and the SSG 08 | Dragonfire. Instead of the traditional knife pool, its rare special item is strictly limited to the first generation of 24 distinct gloves, making it a highly targeted container for high-end unboxings.

Community Feedback on Glove Case

The release of the Glove Case generated an unprecedented level of hype within the community. The introduction of gloves was a highly requested feature, and players immediately began unboxing cases to find the perfect pair to match their favorite knives and weapon loadouts. The vibrant designs of the Sport Gloves and the tactical look of the Specialist Gloves were instant hits.

Today, the Glove Case remains one of the most popular and historically significant cases in CS2. While the weapon skins are highly respected, the vast majority of the community opens this case for one reason: the chance to pull extremely valuable gloves. Because it holds top-tier items like the Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box, which are worth thousands of dollars, it is heavily favored by dedicated unboxers, high-tier traders, and content creators.
