Chroma Case

The Chroma Case is a groundbreaking CS:GO (now CS2) weapon case that was released on January 8, 2015, as part of the "Full Spectrum" update. This case contains 14 unique Community-designed weapon skins, but it is most famous for revolutionizing the in-game economy by introducing an entirely new set of knife finishes to the game.

As a special rare item, the Chroma Case drops the original five knife types: the Karambit, M9 Bayonet, Bayonet, Flip Knife, and Gut Knife. However, instead of the classic finishes, this case introduced the highly coveted Chroma patterns: Doppler, Marble Fade, Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel, Rust Coat, and Ultraviolet.

This case features 14 community-created skins separated into four rarities: 5 Mil-Spec, 4 Restricted, 3 Classified, and 2 Covert. The Covert tier is shared by the AWP | Man-o'-war and the Galil AR | Chatterbox. While the firearm skins are heavily praised, the true origin of this case's prestige lies in its rare special item pool, which introduced the world to the very first generation of Chroma knife patterns.
